Over the last few weeks, we announced a whole bunch of outstanding reggae, soul and world acts, today we go full-out urban. Let's start off with a local revelation called STIKSTOF. With a widely acclaimed third album Overlast, a sold-out AB tonight and a well-deserved spot at Couleur Café on Sunday July 1st, these street poets are well on their way to become national heritage.
In 2016 they were also part of our Niveau4 project, reuniting the upcoming Belgian hip hop scene, together with Coely, the queen of Belgian hip hop. She is coming back to achieve the impossible: outdoing the glorious show she treated us to last year.
On Saturday June 30th, we have The Underachievers, a Brooklyn duo hailing from the same crew as Flatbush Zombies and Joey Bada$$. Conscious rhymes, exciting beats and a powerful live rep: hip hop as it was meant to sound.
For Friday, June 29, we've got the soulful beats and smart rhymes of Oddisee and his delightful band Good Compny, true artists with a message. Last and definitely not least, Antwerp prodigy TheColorGrey, who found the golden path between witty rap and sultry RnB, will open #CoulCaf18.
