Delicate and dark
If you haven’t heard about Tamino these past few months, you must have been living under a rock. The 22-year old Belgian-Egyptian singer only just released his debut-album Amir and is already skyrocketing: he found himself on top of every chart, played the biggest national and international festivals and sold out the AB 3 times last October. He got a MIA-award for best “Alternative” artist and the Ultima’s culture prize in the “music”-category. Quite rightfully so, Tamino creates an Arabic inspired sound of dark pop and dramatic romance enriched with a phenomenal voice. He’ll only be playing two Belgian festivals this summer. First up: Couleur Café.
