Dublin street poetry
The beautiful country of Ireland appears to have become the ideal breeding ground for grade-A rappers. With Rejjie Snow and Kojaque, we’ve got two excellent specimens on our line-up. Avoiding hip-hop clichés, Kojaque masters the art of sketching the most striking character portraits. In an almost avant-garde-like manner he spits sophisticated rhymes on jazzy and minimal beats. Brutal and honest; it’s no coincidence he was talk-of-the-town at the Eurosonic showcase festival in early 2019. This is Kojaque’s year, that much is clear.
